This visa permits foreign businessmen to enter Indonesian territory for short-term business and market study.
What is a Business Visa?
A business visa is a visit visa for foreigners who wish to stay in a specific country to do business for a certain time. Such business activities include:
- Studying the market.
- Meeting with potential distributors or suppliers.
- Establishing a representative office.
- Attending conferences or seminars.
- Conducting other business activities.
However, a business visa is not a work permit, which means that foreign nationals cannot seek or accept job offers.
Types of Business Visas
Indonesia has two types of business visas: single entry and multiple entry. Here is the explanation:
1. Single Entry Business Visa
Single entry is a permit document that is only valid for one visit. So, the visa validity period has expired after you return from the destination country and then return to the country of origin. If you want to return to the destination country, even though the single entry visa is still active and the validity period is still long, you must apply again. The validity period of this type of visa is 60 days and can be extended up to four times, with each extension lasting 30 days without the need to leave Indonesia.

2. Multiple Entry Business Visa
Multiple entry is a permit document that is valid for multiple visits. So, someone with this visa can enter and exit a country without having to reapply for licensing documents until the validity period expires repeatedly. However, owners of this type of visa must also pay attention to the maximum stay time; if it has exceeded the time limit, they must first leave the country and then re-enter the country.
