Foreigners living in Bali make up more than half of Indonesia’s population and as a result its immigration policies are quite strict. To be able to do any job-specific activities while working in Indonesia requires obtaining a valid Work Permit.

Your visa will remain valid for a year but may not be extended more than 5 (five) consecutive times. However, this exceptional visa has the potential to be prolonged for a period of up to 5 years. The Retired/Senior Citizen Visa only permits one entry.

If you possess a retirement visa for Indonesia then you are allowed to stay within its boundaries while taking multiple journeys out of the country during any given year. It also facilitates certain amenities such as opening up a local bank account and obtaining a driver’s license however employment opportunities both locally or internationally are prohibited.

The benefit of Retirement KITAS


• 1 year KITAS validity
• Eligible to obtain an Indonesian driver’s license.
• Allowed to open a bank account
• Eligible to have an Indonesian ID card with a validity of 5 years (once the KITAS has been converted into a KITAP).

Requirements:
1. A passport with at least 18 months validity from the date of entry into Indonesia, which has at least one blank page for visa (amendment and endorsement pages cannot be used for visa).
2. Two recent color photographs (passport size) with white background on picture-quality paper. Note: Do not staple or affixed the photographs on the form.

4. Limited Stay Visa Authorization Letter from the Indonesian Directorate General of Immigration (please note that an application will not be processed without a formal notification of authorization from the Indonesian Directorate General of Immigration).
5. Designation Letter of authorized Indonesian travel agent.
6. Pension fund statement or bank statement from the country of origin (or Indonesia).
7. Proof of a life insurance.
8. Proof of a health insurance.
9. Proof of third party liability insurance.
10. Copy of Employment Contract of Indonesian domestic worker(s) during stay in Indonesia.
11. Proof of accommodation during stay in Indonesia.
