Boosting Indonesian Tourism: Tourist Visas No Longer Need a Guarantor

Corporate Secretary Service Indonesia – Foreign tourists (foreign tourists) now no longer need a guarantor to apply for a tourist visit visa to Indonesia starting from Thursday (26/01/2023). This is an effort by the government to stimulate the economy through the stretching of Indonesian tourism.
Subcoordinator of Public Relations of the Directorate General of Immigration, Achmad Nur Saleh, explained, “This Tourist Visit Visa is valid for 60 days and can be extended to a maximum of 180 days. Suitable for foreign tourists who want to explore Indonesia for longer.”
For information, foreign tourists who want to travel can also use a Visa on Arrival (VoA) Tourist Visa. However, the maximum stay with VoA is only 60 days and is limited to tourists from 87 countries, while a Tourist Visit Visa can be applied for by tourists from all over the world.
Previously, a tourist visit visa had to be applied for by a guarantor from a foreigner through the visa-online.immigration.go.id page. Currently, apart from without a guarantor, tourists can apply for this visa independently on the molina.immigration.go.id page.
To apply for a visa, foreigners only need to register an account at molina.immigration.go.id. After logging in, the applicant can fill out the available forms and upload the required documents. If all data has been confirmed to be correct, the applicant can complete the payment by following the guidelines listed on the website. Furthermore, the visa will be sent electronically to the registered email address.
