Tourist Visas are Now Guarantorless

This new policy has been in effect since last Thursday on 26 January 2023. This is an effort to optimize the economy by the government through tourism activities in Indonesia. Achmad Nur Saleh, Subloordinator of Public Relations at the Directorate General of Immigration, said “This tourist visit visa is valid for 60 days and can be extended to a maximum of 180 days. It is suitable for foreign tourists who want to explore Indonesia for longer.”

The applicant can then complete the payment by following the guidelines listed on the website, after all the data filled in has been confirmed to be correct. Next, the tourist visa will be sent electronically to thee-mail address registered by the applicant.

What are the Requirements for Applying for a Tourist Visit Visa?

The requirements for a Tourist Visit Visa (60 days) are as follows:

1. Travel documents with the following conditions:

• A valid passport with a minimum validity of 12 months for an application for a One-Time Travel Visit Visa with a validity period of 180 days
• A valid passport and still valid for at least six months for a One-Time Travel Visit Visa application with a validity period of 60 days
• A valid travel document and still valid for at least 12 months for stateless foreigners.

2. Proof of having living expenses for himself and/or his family while in the territory of Indonesia at least USD 2,000 US dollars;

3. Return ticket or onward ticket to continue traveling to another country, except for the crew of the conveyance who will stop by to join the ship and continue traveling to another country;

4. Two photographs in colorful with a size of 4 cm x 6 cm.
